Concordia High School welcomes applications from all prospective students who can benefit from our program. Students may be required to submit references and/or complete and interview for admission. Applicants are required to submit an official copy of their most recent (high school) transcript.
All applicants are encouraged to visit the campus and discuss programs of study. Students who apply before June 30 and sumbit a third quarter report card may be granted an early conditional acceptance providing their five-subject average is above 65%.
A registration interview will be arranged following notification of acceptance.

Scholarships and Bursaries
What is it?
Concordia High School is offering one full tuition bursary to a student entering grade ten in the upcoming Fall semester. The amount of the bursary will be applied only toward tuition costs at Concordia High School and will have no cash value. Bursary recipients will receive the same amount of financial value. Bursary recipients will receive the same amount of financial support for each of their three years - grade 10, 11, and 12 - providing that they meet the requirements for continued enrollment at Concordia High School.
How much is the bursary?
The value of the bursary is approximately $3850 per year for three years ( total value of over $11,500 ). This value covers all tuition costs. Additional expenses such as student activity, technology fees, book costs, and dormitory costs are not covered by the bursary.
Who is eligible?
Any student who:
• will be entering grade ten in the upcoming Fall semester.
• is an active member of a Lutheran congregation in the greater Edmonton area.
• meets the entrance requirements for Concordia High School.
• does not otherwise have the financial means to attend Concordia High School.
What is the nomination process?
Potential recipients must be nominated by their congregation. Each congregation may nominate only one student using the form provided. Nominations must be received by Concordia High School no later than June 1.
How will the winners be selected?
A scholarship committee at Concordia High School will evaluate all nominations. Along with demonstrated financial need, greatest emphasis will be placed on past involvement in congregations and other Christian organizations and potential contributions to the Christians community at Concordia High School. The committee may also consider demonstrated excellence in leadership, academics, or athletics.
Application & Admission Process
Admission to Concordia High School will normally be granted to any student who has an average of 60 percent in five subjects necessary for matriculation status.
Four of the five must be core matriculation subjects (English, Mathematics, Science(s), Social Studies). One of the four must be English, and no mark may be below 55 percent.
1. Carefully read through all material in this packet.
2. Submit a completed Application for Admission to Concordia High School by April 30th. Remember to include the: $50.00 (Canadian) or $200.00 (International) non-refundable Application Fee and copies of transcripts for the last two years of schooling.
3. Upon receiving a Letter of Early Conditional Acceptance or Letter of Acceptance, contact the school office at 780-479-9390 to arrange for an interview and registration appointment.
4. Provide all necessary supporting documents to the school by July 15th . These include transcripts, final report cards, a photocopy of applicant’s Birth Certificate or Landed Immigrant Papers.
